Dear Sisters in Christ,

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I am reminded of the timeless wisdom found in Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV): "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." The turning of the calendar often brings with it a sense of renewal and the desire to make resolutions for positive change.

Be Gentle

However, let us approach this new beginning with a gentle spirit, embracing the understanding that growth is a gradual process. In the rush to set ambitious New Year's resolutions, we may unintentionally burden ourselves rather than finding the blessings we seek.

Bite Size Goals

Proverbs 21:5 (KJV) encourages us, "The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness, but of every one that is hasty only to want." Instead of overwhelming ourselves with grand resolutions, let us consider the wisdom of setting weekly, bite-sized goals. These smaller steps can be more attainable, bringing both progress and joy to our journeys.

Press Forward to Future, Giving God the Past

In my own life, I've found solace in releasing the past with gratitude to God. This was inspired by Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV): "This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Letting go of physical, emotional, and relational baggage can create space for God's grace to work in our lives.

Consider my experience as a gentle nudge: Take a moment to declutter a drawer, a desktop, or even a room. Or perhaps you might look back on your life and forgive a past offense or give God a weight from your own life you are carrying around, releasing what no longer served a purpose. The physical act mirrored the spiritual can creating a sense of renewal and opening the door for fresh opportunities.

Don't Be Weary in Well-Doing

As we embark on this new year, let us remember the words of Galatians 6:9 (KJV): "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." Let each day be a fresh start, a chance to draw nearer to our Lord and experience the joy of His guidance.

In closing, dear sisters, let's approach this new year as Women Warriors in Christ, supporting and uplifting each other. Embrace the gradual progress, savor the small victories, and revel in the beauty of a fresh start every day. Happy New Year! Let's see what wonders we can achieve together.

In His love,

Tamara
