Dear Sister Warriors of Light,

Every day presents opportunities to choose happiness, even in a world filled with challenges. Amid war, natural disasters, pandemics, and personal struggles, cultivating a spirit of happiness and optimism is a powerful way to counteract negativity.

Here are four lessons inspired by the life of religious leader Gordon B. Hinckley, along with biblical wisdom, to help you choose happiness and spread positivity:

  1. Accentuate the Positive: Focus on the good, even in difficult circumstances. Seek rays of light within every storm and emphasize the positive. In the words of Gordon B. Hinckley, "Turn from the negativism that so permeates our society and look for the remarkable good in the land and times in which we live."

  2. Have an Attitude of Gratitude: Embrace gratitude to lift your spirits and enhance your perspective. Gratitude journals and regular reflections on your blessings can help you maintain a positive outlook.

  3. Find What Brings You Joy: Discover the simple joys in life, such as spending time with loved ones, enjoying nature, or reading a good book. As Gordon B. Hinckley encouraged, "Let there be fun and happiness... Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured."

  4. Give Compliments, Not Complaints: Be mindful of your words and choose compliments over complaints. Your words have the power to heal, bless, and spread happiness to others. In challenging times, maintain a spirit of happiness through your testimonies and interactions.

By applying these principles, you can actively choose happiness and inspire those around you to do the same. The journey toward happiness begins with your daily choices. What will you do today to cultivate happiness and optimism in your life? Remember, it's a good day to do good and to be happy!

Much Love,
