Gratitude Stories: Triumph Over Trials

gratitude hope in hard times overcoming fear Nov 25, 2020

My Dearest Warriors of Light,

I want to begin this letter with a heart overflowing with gratitude for each one of you. Your presence in my life, your willingness to connect with me, and your shared journey towards hope mean more than words can express. Thank you, from the depths of my heart.

This month, in the realm of our podcasts, we've been delving into the theme of gratitude. In our most recent episode, "Gratitude After a Car Accident," I had the privilege of sharing a story from nearly two decades ago. It was a time when life took a dramatic turn as I found myself in the aftermath of a car accident. In this episode, I read to you from my journal, sharing the thoughts and feelings I penned about gratitude in the wake of such a harrowing experience. The realization that my heart could hold gratitude in the face of tragedy still astonishes me. It's a reminder that even in our darkest hours, God's grace is ever-present, and His love sustains us.

Today, I also have an incredible story to share with you. I had the immense pleasure of interviewing Abby Stephens, and she has a remarkable tale of faith, gratitude, and humor all woven into her journey. Her story, "Walking After Paralysis," is a testament to the power of unwavering faith, the beauty of gratitude in adversity, and the healing balm of humor. Abby's story shines as a beacon of hope, a reminder that the human spirit can triumph over even the most formidable obstacles.

No matter where you find yourself or what circumstances may surround you, my prayer is that you can uncover something to be grateful for this week. The Bible reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV), "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

So, my dear friends, as we journey through this month of thanksgiving, let our hearts be filled with gratitude for the hope that sustains us, the faith that guides us, and the love that surrounds us. May you find moments of joy in the midst of trials, and may the light of your spirit continue to shine brightly in the world.

With unwavering hope and gratitude,

Tamara
