Hope, Faith, and Resilience in 2021

covid determination hope for future jesus christ new year Jan 06, 2021

Dear Sisters in Christ,

May the peace and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you today and always. As we embark on this new year of 2021, I have a special gift that I want to share with you, my fellow Christian Women Warriors of Light.

In a world that has witnessed unprecedented challenges, we have clung to our faith, standing firm in the knowledge that we are never alone. It is my earnest desire to encourage your hearts and uplift your spirits as we set our sights on the journey ahead.

I recently had the privilege of sharing a chapter from my book, "Normal for Me," in a podcast episode. This chapter is a beacon of hope, especially in light of the trying year we have just navigated. It reminds us of the beautiful truth found in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV): "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." The episode, titled "Not More Than We Can Handle," serves as a reminder that even in our most challenging moments, God's grace sustains us.

As we set out to achieve our goals for this year, I also want to introduce you to an extraordinary individual, Daren Falter. Daren's story is a testament to the power of visualization in achieving one's goals. Despite facing the immense challenge of Parkinson's Disease, Daren's determination led him to conquer Mount Rainier. His journey is a vivid demonstration of the unwavering faith and resilience we find in Philippians 4:13 (KJV): "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." You can listen to his remarkable journey in the episode titled "Failing My Way to Success."

In my own life, I recently battled COVID-19, and by the grace of God, I am on the path to recovery. It was during this challenging time that I found solace and strength in the breathtaking landscapes of Southern Utah. I embarked on a family trip to Zion National Park and Snow Canyon, where I witnessed the glorious harmony of the snow against the crimson rocks. This experience reinforced my love for hiking and served as a reminder of the Creator's magnificent handiwork, as described in Psalm 19:1 (KJV): "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."

As my children return to school, I find myself still in the process of unwrapping the holiday season and setting my goals for the year 2021. I would love to hear about the goals you are setting for yourselves this year, dear sisters. Together, let us stand united as Women Warriors of Light, walking in faith, hope, and love.

With a heart full of hope and a spirit of determination, I encourage you to press on, knowing that with God, all things are possible. May we continue to be the shining lights of Christ's love in this world.

With love and blessings,

Tamara
