Rising Strong: A Message for Christian Women

be still divine identity peace and quiet strength in christ Apr 05, 2023

Dear Sisters in Jesus,

Are you feeling the weight of exhaustion, overwhelmed by life's demands, and a bit lost in the midst of it all?

I want to have a heart-to-heart talk with you. Over the past few years, I've been through moments when I've felt these very things and more.

In today's fast-paced world, where the hustle and bustle never seem to stop, it's increasingly challenging to find those quiet moments, to be still, and wait on the Lord.

Yet, as Christian women living in these last days, the Lord needs us to stand strong and courageous. It's a calling that requires us to rise above the chaos and live with intention and purpose.

In the words of religious leader Russell M. Nelson, "We need women who know how to make important things happen by their faith and who are courageous defenders of morality and families in a sin-sick world. We need women who are devoted to shepherding God’s children. . . women who know how to receive personal revelation, who understand the power and peace. . . women who know how to call upon the powers of heaven to protect and strengthen children and families; women who teach fearlessly."

God needs us, and He needs us just as we are.

As a certified therapist, I've felt a calling to help women break free from the things that hold them back. I want to see women rise and become the individuals God designed them to be.

I'm talking about women who long to release the pain of the past and transform their current behaviors. Women who desire to renew their capacity to thrive in daily life. Women who yearn to restore their ability to create a purposeful, brighter tomorrow, all while connecting with like-hearted sisters.

This is why I've created a safe haven, a Christ-centered retreat for women to come together, to connect, to grow, and to heal. It is called, the Be Still Be Real For Him retreat.

Learning to be still, be real, and be for Him is crucial. Whether you decide to join one of our retreats or not, remember to take time to renew yourself on a regular basis. Embrace the physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of your life. Let go of the past hurts, the shame, and the guilt.

Move forward with a greater sense of worth, value, confidence, and the knowledge that you are enough. Remember who you truly are in Christ, and from that place, go forth boldly into your unique life's journey.

In the timeless words of Psalm 46:10 (KJV), "Be still, and know that I am God."

Lean into this promise, dear sisters, and know that as we take time to be still and lean on the Lord, we find our own renewal and strength in Him.

With love and prayers,

Wendi Christensen, LCSW
