Show Notes

The podcast delves into the nefarious arsenal wielded by the adversary, Satan, as he seeks to undermine our faith and well-being. Tiffany Fletcher, along with her insightful co-hosts, Tamara Anderson and Wendi Christensen, meticulously dissect the various methods employed by the adversary to ensnare and entrap individuals. From the metaphorical hooks that represent negative thoughts to the more insidious cords that bind us through guilt and shame, the conversation elegantly articulates how these weapons can manifest in our lives.

One particularly striking analogy likens these thought traps to fishing hooks, effectively illustrating how the adversary uses deceptive thoughts to reel us into feelings of inadequacy and despair. As the discussion unfolds, they emphasize the importance of recognizing these tactics as a means of liberation, encouraging listeners to actively engage in the process of casting out these harmful influences through faith and the power of prayer. The episode culminates in a profound understanding of the duality of spiritual warfare, highlighting not only the darkness that seeks to bind us but also the empowering light of Christ that can free us from these shackles and inviting God's angels to aid us in this battle. Ultimately, the message resonates with a clarion call for vigilance and strength in faith, urging all to don the armor of light against the adversary's relentless assaults.

And today we have two of the most amazing women that are our co founders. For Women warriors of Light, we have Tamara Anderson. How are you today, Tamara?

Tamara K Anderson

00:01:13.456 - 00:01:15.312

I'm doing well, thank you.

Tiffany Fletcher

00:01:15.496 - 00:01:18.256

Good. And Wendi Christensen. Welcome. Wendi.

Wendi Christensen

00:01:18.368 - 00:01:19.700

Hi, Tiffany.

Tiffany Fletcher

00:01:20.520 - 00:02:02.470

So today is an important topic that we're going to talk about, one that is very, very important. At least I believe in today's world, and we clearly believe that too. That's why we're here.

Today we are going to talk about the weapons of the adversary. So in the previous podcast we've talked about all of the armor of light that we can put on to protect ourselves from the adversary.

Today we are going to talk about the weapons. And we've already talked about fiery darts. We know that those are some of the weapons that he throws at us.

But we're going to talk about some other weapons. So start with Tamara.

Tamara, as you've researched in the scriptures, what are some of the weapons that you have noticed that the adversary flings at us?

Tamara K Anderson

00:02:02.850 - 00:02:43.910

Oh, these are really good. And so I'll kind of mention these. And I think Wendy has more experience with all of this, so I'll let her go into it as well.

But it was so interesting that as I dove into this topic that I found so many references throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament.

And for example, there are snares, or maybe you could call them hooks, things that, for example, in 1st Timothy 3, verse 7, it says, Lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. So the devil is out there and he's trying to catch us. Like he's fishing.

Wendi Christensen

00:02:44.330 - 00:03:15.308

Yeah, he's throwing a hook. And I see it as like a hook of a thought. Many times it tends to be a thought that's A hook. And what it's meant to do is just hook us and reel us in.

And it could be a thought like, you're not enough. You can't do this. You're. You're. You're a poor mom. You're incapable. And what happens is he'll throw it at us, we'll believe it.

And that's how he hooks us, right? And then he starts.

Tiffany Fletcher

00:03:15.484 - 00:04:00.378

Fascinating. That's fascinating. I. I never thought. I mean, I know I've taught people this before, too.

And a lot of the talks that I do, that Satan puts thoughts into our mind, but I never thought of them as hooks before. That's really fascinating. And it makes sense because, I mean, you know, I'm a writer and we use hooks all the time, right?

The beginning of every chapter, there's a hook to get someone. You write something. It's a thought, an idea from my mind that hooks people, that brings them in and. And helps them want to stay. Right.

And that's exactly what the adversary does. I never like. It's interesting because Heavenly Father has certain things that he does. Right.

But there's an equal and opposite in the adversary as well. So that's fascinating. Thanks for sharing, Wendy. What are some other weapons, Tamara?

Tamara K Anderson

00:04:00.474 - 00:04:28.870

Yeah, so we've got the snares, the hooks, and then the next one I found was cords. And this is all throughout the Scriptures. Here's one in Proverbs, chapter 5, verse 22, that we. We will be holden with the cords of sin.

And so it's something that. That once n. Kind of has snared us, then he starts to wrap us up. And I thought Wendi could dive more into that.

Wendi Christensen

00:04:29.490 - 00:05:48.450

Absolutely. I love how everything you're saying is exactly.

I'm like, oh, this flowing beautifully, as far as I understand, you know, and it comes from working with people for so many years, especially in mental health, because I see it play out so many times where. Just like I was talking about, like a hook, for example, if. If he were to hook me with. You're not enough as a mom. Like, you're just really.

You're doing a poor job. You're not doing a great job. And if I start believing that and he starts reeling me in, it's like the cords start binding me to where I believe.

I'm starting to believe that thought more and more in my life. Not only is it just a thought that's passed through my mind, I start integrating it right where I start believing, oh, yeah, I really am a poor mom.

I really don't do a Good job. My kids must hate me. I really am doing a poor job in everything I do, and I start feeling maybe guilt and shame.

And those are the cords that he's starting to wrap around me, because I'm starting to believe it more and more in my life, and I'm starting to actually act it out in my life, if that makes sense, to where it's starting to become a part of me. Unfortunately, that's kind of how I see with those cords. And it's starting to bind me, so it's limiting what I'm able to do.

Tiffany Fletcher

00:05:49.550 - 00:06:51.560

That makes total sense, I think, sometimes. I mean, coming with a mom who had severe mental illness, right? Like, my mom had multiple personalities, 14 different alters.

And I can see how the adversary bound her. Like, those cords, those things that she believed they bound her, and they kept her from moving forward in her. In her life.

Like, not even in her mission, but just in her mission as a mother, in her motherhood, you know? And that is so incredible to think about that. As these hooks, as he starts, then he takes that.

Like, I love how you said it was a fishing pole, because it makes me really think about how, like, if we get hooked with a fishing pole and we just keep walking, it's just going to keep binding us, right? It's going to wrap around us again and again and again until we can't function properly. And I had never really thought about that before until now.

So thank you so much. Totally makes sense, and I love it. Tamara, do you have any thoughts that you'd like to share or any other weapons you'd like to move on to?

Tamara K Anderson

00:06:52.500 - 00:09:07.052

This idea just popped into my mind, and we were at a beach.

My family was at a beach several years ago, and there was a seagull that came up, and he wanted some food, but he had a fishing hook in his mouth, and it had kind of bound. Like, he tried to get it off and tried to bind it, but it was, like, totally.

And so we tried to catch him, to help him to remove it, but of course, he didn't let us close enough to catch him. But I felt so bad because I saw this seagull, and he had this hook in him and. And in his beak, and. And we wanted to help him get it out.

And so sometimes we may be seeing other people that have these things. And I know, Wendy, especially as a counselor, you.

You see people that have these thoughts that have turned into something real in their lives, and they believe that thought. It has become a reality to them, and. And they're lies.

They're the lies that Satan puts in our mind, and we really turn them into beliefs, and then they become a part of us. And, and, and they become bands. I was just reading here in Isaiah 52. Two, it says, Shake thyself from the dust. Arise and sit down, O Jerusalem.

Loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. So I think that these things can really bind us down. And then there's another verse. And sin can also bind us down. So here's another one.

For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity, you know, so there are lots of ways Satan also will use these thoughts to get us to take action, to actually sin. And the blessing is that Jesus is powerful enough to help us remove those bonds, remove these hooks, remove these cords, remove whatever, right?

Tiffany Fletcher

00:09:07.236 - 00:09:28.648

And I think. I think that that's really the power, right? Because if you think about the thoughts that Satan throws at us, those hooks, and then he.

He binds us with them, there is real danger in. In not recognizing that. And there is danger in allowing those bands like the seagull or the hooks to just become a part of us, right?

Tiffany Fletcher

00:09:28.704 - 00:09:29.016

And.

Tiffany Fletcher

00:09:29.088 - 00:09:54.490

And not being able to take them out. And, and how beautiful it is that Jesus in his atonement, made it possible for us to be able to remove those.

And, and that is what we're going to really talk about in the bulk of today with Wendy. And I'm so grateful that she's here to, to help us understand. So, Wendy, what.

What is the danger in listening to those, and what can we do to remove them?

Wendi Christensen

00:09:54.790 - 00:13:07.970

There's actually one more that I find a lot too, with the hooks and the cords. There's also anchors. And it's interesting because we talk about the anchor, Christ being the anchor for us, right?

Well, sometimes Satan tries to anchor, which is pull us down even farther. So he hooks us and reels us in. He starts binding us with these cords, and then we become anchored.

And when we are becoming anchored, it's just like the opposite, right? When we're anchored in Christ, we're like solid in our. In who we are, what we believe about Christ.

Like what I would say, our testimony of Christ, what Satan does is when he uses an anchor, it's. We believe something false or untrue about ourselves or our situation that's so solid, we're anchored in it, right? That's another.

That's another weapon or tool. And. And then he can fire, you know, these fiery darts or sometimes it's even weapons.

And I call them weapons of war that he uses because I feel like we're in a battle with Satan and. And that that battle or that war is strong between good and evil here.

And he pulls out all the weapons, the weapons of war, whether you want to see it as. You know, I feel like they're old. Like old battle weapons. Like, it could be an ax or a spear or even a knife.

Like it's whatever you can do to poke you and to attack you in any way. And that's why that shield and that armor that we talked about is so, so powerful. When you.

When you have that armor of God to protect you, it helps you to fight off the negative thoughts, the negative. Anything that makes you feel like it's not you.

Because I feel like our true authentic self, we lose it in all of these lies and these deceptions that we hear and that are thrown at us from Satan. And we get so entangled in it that we forget our sense of self. We forget who we truly are, right?

We forget that we are sons and daughters of this God that is almighty and all powerful, that loves us and that Christ has fought for us and saved us. Any of those things that go against that are coming from Satan, right? And that's something that can be so powerful. Think about addiction.

You know, I'm thinking about the process of addiction. If you look at it through the lens of usually that hook that's thrown at us might be that first temptation.

Maybe it was somebody that, as a teenager, right, they were introduced to alcohol. Somebody said, oh, just take one sip. Just one sip. It's fine. It's not going to matter. It's not going to be any big deal.

So maybe you take one sip and you think, okay, not a big deal. That could be enough of a hook. Especially if you've got a genetic propensity to addiction that's enough of a hook that it can hook you.

And then let's say you start drinking a little bit more, just on the weekends, just every once in a while, I'm gonna do it. Not a big deal.

Wendi Christensen

00:13:08.430 - 00:13:09.030

But.

Wendi Christensen

00:13:09.150 - 00:23:34.366

But you find that it's harder. Like you're starting to get a little deeper into that addiction. So that could be the cord starting to wrap around you, right? Because he's hooked you.

So you're doing it now every weekend, right? And pretty soon you're noticing. And because he's sly, right? He just does it little by little, and then you're starting to notice.

Maybe, maybe while it's summertime, I Can go a little bit more. We're gonna go camping. So maybe not just the weekend, but maybe during the week. Oh, just a Wednesday night is fine. That's not a big deal.

And before you know it, it's like an everyday thing, right? That's where that's gonna anchor you, where you're like, I can't function. I can't function without it now. I have to have it every single day.

And before you realize that you're consumed by this addiction and you don't even know who you are anymore without the alcohol, I mean, that's kind of an extreme example, but it's just trying to show how Satan can start working in your life to where I'm an alcoholic. I need it every single day. Well, he's got you hook, line, and sinker pretty much in that instance. So then what do I do?

You have to call upon your savior to help redeem you, to pull you out of it. And not only him, but there are so many. In that instance, I would say get all the help you can get. You know, pull in support members, family members.

Get, you know, aa, whatever meetings you need to get to. Pull in all the forces that can help you to get untangled, unhooked, pull out those anchors, pull out those cords, weapons, everything possible. And.

And even though that's an extreme example, if you were to take it on a lighter example, like I was saying before, let's say a mom who thinks I'm a poor mom, I'm not doing a good job, because maybe she had an off day and she yelled at her kid, right? And she's thinking, I'm the most horrible mom.

And then she has another really rough day, and she gets kind of like, you are talking a little bit, Tiffany, with your mom. She's. And then she's pulling in all these things from her past, and she's pulling in all this stuff from her history, and she starts.

It starts to entangle her. And I would say if it becomes an anchor, it's where she feels so worthless. Maybe she can't get out of bed. Maybe she can't even function. Maybe she.

She doesn't even understand that she is like, her just showing up does do something that really helps. Her kids need her, right? Her kids need her to show up.

But she can become so entangled and engrossed in this thought of, I'm worthless, I'm incapable, I'm no good, my family's better off without me, that she. She might want to not be here anymore. Like, it's Just these little things that can build, build, build to the bigger things. That.

That's when we find that we've lost our complete sense of who we are and our mission and that God can actually use us for so many more things and so much good. If we allow all of those things to pierce our armor, right? Or to cloud our judgment with. We don't have our helmet, it clouds our judgment.

If we don't have that breastplate, it. It pierces that armor and it leaves us feeling limp and not able to do what we need to, to show up the way that we need to.

And we all get attacked by the way. Everybody gets attacked in some way or another. I was working with my son just last night.

He was getting ready to go to bed and I could just feel his heaviness. He's 14, he just made the baseball team. And he is, he's a good student. He's feeling overwhelmed.

He's been, you know, trying to, trying to do everything he can with his team. And it's a lot. It's like every day, three, four hours after school, he's doing this.

And he's, he's a really, he's been a really great student because Satan could attack even the best of the best, right?

And so last night he spent probably after practice, I would say four hours at least, working on homework because he's gotten behind in the last week and it was almost 11:00 at night. And he's usually, wait, he's, you know, he's a ninth grader, so he's usually in bed way before that. But it was after 11, it's probably 11:30.

And I just felt so bad because he's like, oh, I have this presentation tomorrow. And I just felt him so heavy and weighed down. And I could tell Satan was working on him. And I just said, hey.

And he was even feeling it physically, he had to keep running to the toilet. He's like, I'm not feeling well all of a sudden. And I'm like, oh my gosh, Satan's attacking him. I could see it right in front of my eyes.

And I said, okay, come talk to me as soon as you're off the toilet. Because he just, all of a sudden, it hit him really hard. I'm like, it can physically manifest. It can mentally manifest.

So after he got done, I said, okay, let's talk for a second. I'm like, how are you feeling? And he's like, I feel so overwhelmed. I feel so. I don't know if I can handle it. All. I don't know if I can do it all.

And so I said, okay, let's take some deep breaths for a second, because that's not coming from God. He wasn't feeling himself. And a lot of people are like, how do I recognize it? How do I know?

And that's one of the first things I see is this, this overwhelm, this angst, this. I'm not myself. I don't feel who I normally am. So as we're talking it through, and I said, okay, tell me about what's going on.

And we talked through some of the school stuff and some of the pressure he's feeling. And I had him do some deep breaths. And I had him do I do forgiveness steps with my kids. So I had him do some forgiving of himself and his situation.

And then I said, do you think Satan's working on you? And he said, yeah, I think so. So we actually did what I call casting out.

And the way that I like to do this is looking at how is he Let me notice how Satan's attacking me. So if I am feeling very, very overwhelmed, like he was like, okay, let's see how you might be being attacked that way. How is he overwhelming you?

Or maybe it could be for somebody. Anxiety, right? Sometimes anxiety will hit me really hard and I'll feel like, oh, my gosh, I don't know, how am I going to do this?

How am I going to do this? How am I going to manage all of this, right? And it feels so incredibly overwhelming.

Or maybe it's that depression that will set in and you feel so heavy and weighed down and sad and so you're starting to notice. I don't feel like myself. And I'm feeling maybe these dark feelings or emotions.

It's almost like they're just coming and weighing you down and you're feeling all consumed. Usually Satan's behind a lot of that too, right? So as he was feeling this way, I said, okay, tell me what's going on inside?

And he's like, I don't know. All of a sudden I just felt all this gas and this rumbling and all these things. And I'm like, that's Satan. He can work on you that way, too.

It's not every single time. I'm not saying every time you're feeling stomach problems that Satan.

But just to see him transform so fast and so quickly, I knew he was getting attacked. So I'm like, okay, let's bring in some light. What I like to do is to pull back for Just a second and remember who I am.

So for me, that looks like, okay, I am a daughter of God, and Satan doesn't need to attack me. In fact, he needs to, like, take a hike and get out of here. So for him, I'm like, okay, you're a son of God. God loves you. Jesus Christ is here.

He's fighting for you. So let's call upon his power.

So we call upon Jesus Christ, because whenever we do, he brings light and he brings power and he allows us to conquer Satan. So the way that we do it is we say, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command. And for him, it was overwhelm, right?

It was overwhelm and feeling like I can't do it and I'm incapable. So we cast that out. So we say, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command the spirit of overwhelm.

The spirit of being incapable, the spirit of not being able to do it. And then I can't. I can't accomplish what I'm trying to do. We cast that out. We cast that away.

And I had him cast it from his stomach and his bowels, and I cast that away from my stomach and my bowels and I bind it for me and my family and my home. And I do that because if Satan's trying to bind me, I'm going to bind him and tell him to leave and get him out of here.

Because I don't want him binding me or my kids or my family or my home. I don't want him anywhere near me at all. So I tell him to leave. Everything in my existence, I want you out of my home.

I want you away from all my family, and I want you away from me as a person, right? And so we tell that to leave. I usually do. Not everyone needs to do this.

But when I'm doing it and working with people, I've learned that Satan likes to attack four main areas. And I think it coincides with the armor of God that you've talked about, right? I do. My heart, because that's where my feelings are.

My mind, because that's where my thoughts are. My body, because it's my body. It's not his, right? And I don't want him attacking my body. And then I.

I call it an energy field, but it's really that, some people call it an aura. It's everything that's all around my body. Like it's just this. It's this energy field around your body.

And if you want to study a little bit more about that, you can study More about that. We all have energy that radiates about a foot out from all of us and it surrounds us. And it's. To me, it's the armor of God.

It's this beautiful spiritual armor of God. So I tell him to leave my heart, mind, body and energy filled.

And if something's bugging me, particularly like my neck, my stomach, my throat, whatever, tell him to leave and to get out, because he'll try to attack wherever he can and wherever our weak spot is, wherever your Achilles heel is. Sometimes it's your feet, sometimes it's your stomach, sometimes it's your neck. Sometimes.

I have a lot of people that come in with neck problems when they come to see me. And as we've done this, they're like, oh, my gosh, it's gone. Like, I feel, whoa. It's.

It's amazing that just telling Satan to take a hike and to leave, they'll feel. They'll feel so much more. They'll feel better, they'll feel lighter, and they'll feel more powerful, right?

Tiffany Fletcher

00:23:34.438 - 00:25:10.090

I love that. Wendi. I think, I think it's important, like, as you mentioned, because we. We cast Satan out of our home too, and we actually bind him too.

And that isn't something that the spirit just taught me to do that to, to ask to cast Satan out and to bind him. And so we, every morning and every night we have that prayer.

And anytime we feel that he's messing with us, but it's so important in the name of Jesus Christ, that is. That is the one. He is the one who has the power to cast him away.

You know, we don't have that power within ourselves, but with his help, he can push out the darkness. And I. I absolutely love that. I also was thinking about how interesting it is. And, and I want to be clear, too.

I don't think that everyone who has mental illness has, you know, the devil's messing with them. And. But I do believe that if you are struggling, why not try and see, right? Like, that's really what this is, is why not try and see?

Because like you said, Satan is going to attack all of us, but he especially is going to attack those who are trying to do the Lord's work. That is just what he does. Because he wants us to stop what we're doing. And if he can attack us, then he's going to do that.

And I think that that is such an important thing to remember, especially where women warriors of light, we're really trying to get women to stand in their purpose and so this is a powerful thing that those women especially need to do in order to accomplish what God is inspiring them to do. You have any thoughts, Tamara?

There was just a verse in Isaiah that, that kind of came to mind that I wanted to share. And this is Isaiah speaking messianically.

It says, the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

And I think if you look at that as that was, that's exactly what Jesus Christ came to do. He came to, to release us, to make us free.

And just because you go through the process once doesn't mean you're not going to make this another mistake or that Satan's not going to attack you again.

I was thinking as you guys were sharing these stories about a story when I was a young mother, and I did, I got mad at my kids and I yelled at them and I just felt so bad afterwards and I could just, you know, it was that guilt and that shame.

And I remember that night just falling on my knees and praying and you know, telling God I was so sorry that I had yelled at my kids and, and just praying that he would forgive me and, and I had the sweetest feeling come over me as I was praying. And it was, it was like this warm peace and love.

And I, in my mind, I guess now I can look back and say it was Jesus releasing me from those bonds, removing the guilt, removing the shame, the power of repentance, right? That Jesus can help us remove and heal and fix any of those broken parts of ourselves that happen in, in day to day life, right?

And as I was praying, I was like, God, how does, how does this miracle happen? How does this happen? And the thought that came into my mind was, it's because of your faith in Jesus Christ. And that is how all of this is possible.

It's because of your faith in Jesus Christ. And I think it's so interesting that as we've been talking about the armor of light that.

What is it that quenches all the fiery darts of the adversary? It is the shield of faith, faith in Jesus Christ. And it is faith that helps us remove all of these things that are binding us down.

So, yeah, those are the thoughts that I'd had that I wanted to share.

Thank you. That is beautiful. I. It's so interesting just from a writer's Perspective. How, how, you know, Satan gives us these hooks. He gets us to spin.

He spins stories, right? So he's telling us he's. He's trying to write our story for us, right?

But if we let go and we choose the Savior and allow him to write our story, it can be so much more beautiful than what we are trying, what Satan's trying to get us to believe.

And I think that as we focus more on a Christlike life, I think that that will help us and cast Satan out, casting his influence out and inviting the Savior in. That's because we create a void, right? When we cast Satan out, it creates a void, so inviting him in. But we can also.

I've also learned that we can also invite angels in to help us, to help lift our light and to help us to overcome the darkness. Because the greater light we have, the more we can push back the darkness. So, Wendy, can you share. I know our time is getting is.

Is almost up, so can you share just some of the things that you have done with angels in your work in removing these weapons?

Wendi Christensen

00:29:11.560 - 00:33:08.886

Yes. And I love what both of you have just said, because that's so powerful. You know, I have a lot of people wonder, why do we even talk about Satan?

And why do we, you know, be, be careful with that? And, and I. What I've learned is that you have to recognize your enemy to conquer him, right? And so we recognize our enemy.

We don't focus on him, but we recognize what he's doing, the tools he's using so that we can conquer him. And we focus on Jesus Christ because he, like you beautifully just said, he's the one who overcome, who overcame everything.

And he's the one that we then focus on and we focus on his light. Well, just like Satan has people working, like he's got an army of people that work on us, right?

Christ has a huge, huge army of people, bigger than Satan, that help us, that bless us and that benefit.

And as I've worked with people over the years, I've had many beautiful spiritual experiences where I will be working with someone and all of a sudden I don't see angels, but I can feel them. I can feel their presence and their energy.

And there have been many times where as I'm working with someone and I consider it a very sacred moment, even as we've, you know, maybe worked on getting rid of what we need to and helping them focus on the good and the positive, right? Returning to Jesus Christ, that many times I'll feel the presence of a loved One from. From their life. And it's.

I can sense like a grandmother or a father or a mother or a sibling or somebody who's maybe passed on. And.

And I started recognizing and realizing that the Lord will send loved ones who know us, who understand us, or even that are good from our family line to bless us and to strengthen us and to what I would say, minister to us, to bless and help us in our cause.

I truly believe that there are many times when we pray and ask for help, even if it's a, I can't find my wallet, please help me to find my wallet because I've lost it. That he can send a loved one to help us to help answer that prayer because they love and care about us and they're going to come support us.

And it could be, you know, I've lost my wallet, too. I feel so overwhelmed and so heavy right now. Please, please help me.

I believe that it's those loved ones that can often come and answer those prayers for us. There's also warriors on his side, and I felt strong spiritual warriors and come and fight for good and for what's right.

And I believe that they're angels that can also come and minister in his cause. And we can ask for those. Like you were saying, Tiffany, we can say, heavenly Father, please bless me with my angels to, you know, be round about me.

I tell my kids because I've learned that there are angels that have all kinds of gifts and talents.

So if they're going, you know, my daughter, she's been taking the act and I'm like, pray for your ACT angels to come and help you as you're taking that big test, right? Because she's worried, she's nervous. She wants to do well to get into the college she wants to get into.

So I'm like, pray for your math angels to come because she struggles with math and science. She's really good at English. But like, pray for your math angels to come and to bless you.

Or if I've got a big cause that I'm going to be doing, I'll pray for, hey, I'm going to be speaking today. Can I please have my speaking angels come and assist me in this job today? Or maybe it's the mothering angel. Can I need help being a mom today?

I'm really struggling. I need my angels to come help me as a mom to show up the way that I need to today.

Like, there are all kinds of helpers out there, and they truly, truly feel such joy in helping and blessing us. And will come as they need to.

So, Wendy, how do you actually get to the point where you are able to remove the weapons? What does that look like?

Wendi Christensen

00:33:19.390 - 00:36:15.252

So as I'm working with people and we find, like we've talked about, you've cast out Satan or cast out the spirit of depression, anxiety, whatever it is.

And maybe it's hard to always identify the tools, but if you just try to just tune into your body and just listen to your spirit, a lot of times you'll tune into what's bothering you or what seems to be off. And if you're not quite sure, just do it anyways. Because more than likely it's not going to hurt anything, right?

And so I will often have people call upon my angels or even warriors of light, because there are so many good people, again, who are fighting for God and His cause and his truth and Christ and standing by Him.

So I invite them to come clear out any weapons of war or any tools that maybe we can't see, but they can spiritually see, but to help us and to bless us. And so the way that I have seen it is it's almost like they will never force their will upon us.

God's army is always about us being able to choose, right? Us being able to exercise the things that we do. They're not going to infringe upon us.

And so we invite them, whereas Satan will just come and make life miserable. But I find that Christ has all of his followers don't force things, they never force it. So we invite them.

So what it looks like is, and I invite, or I ask that my angels be discharged and come help me to be able to get rid of what's bothering me. And I find that as we ask and we invite, the Lord will provide. And I think that's partly faith, too.

I think he wants us, that's our part is to have faith in him and have faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. And as we exercise that faith, he can then discharge these angels, these loved ones that care about us, to come in to help us and to bless us.

And I have seen it time after time after time where they will come and they will fight on our behalf, and they will strengthen us and they will bless us and they will minister to us.

As it's been beautiful as I work with clients that are maybe doing this and going through this process, to be able to feel, to have them say, oh, my, I feel my grandma. Oh, I feel my brother who passed. I feel, you know, my cousin or my really good friend, they they are there.

And, and you know that they're there because you'll start having feelings or thoughts about them or memories about them with those loved ones. That's kind of a key or a sign that they're around you.

When you start feeling reminiscing about some different thoughts or you can just feel their personality, right? You feel their energy around you coming to bless you.

That's the beautiful thing that as we turn to Jesus Christ, he will send light, he will send goodness, and he will bless us. And I've seen it many, many times.

Before we close, I just wanted to share.

There's a scripture in Hebrews 1, 13, 14 that says the angels, are they not all ministering spirit sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation. Isn't that just beautiful? So he really does send us ministering angels. Well, we are so glad that that we had this episode.

I hope that it that you listen, that you take it to heart and that you start calling on your angels, that you cast Satan's influence out first and that you call on the Savior and you call on his angels to help support you.
